The advantages and functions of friction bolts are complete, but some problems inevitably exist during the construction process.

The problems of friction bolts in the construction are as follows: when the slotted anchor bit is worn seriously, it is not replaced carefully, resulting in a small drilling diameter, the installation of the anchor is time-consuming and laborious, and even the installation is insufficient. The installation speed of the rock bolts, some workers use a hammer to smash the anchors to make it smaller in diameter and smaller in crack width, and only need to saw off the rock bolt. But this will result in low anchoring force and poor control of the roof. When drilling bolt holes, pay attention to frequent drilling, change the drilling direction, and drill multiple holes at one location. When drilling the top hole, use a long drill rod directly. The installation angle of this slotted friction bolt often does not meet the design requirements.

Because of the universality of the use of friction bolts, we need to understand the correct use of anchors when installing anchors. When installed in a borehole smaller than the diameter of the friction bolt, it can apply radial pressure to the hole wall immediately and prevent the surrounding rock from sliding over the entire length and solid state.
